A real-valued function f on a closed interval I is said to be concave if tf(x) + (1 − t)f(y) ≤ f(tx + (1 − x)y) for all x, y ∈ I and for all t ∈ [0, 1]. In this paper, we present sufficient conditions for being a concave function.
