Abstract

Analytical method for the ananlysis of itraconazole pellets-22% w/w

In-house dissolution test method was developed for the determination of ITRACONAZOLE PELLETS-22%. Apparatus USP-II, medium- Buffer pH 1.2, RPM -100RPM, temperature; 37.0±0.5???C Dissolution medium volume: 900 ml and time: 60 minutes. The determination was accomplished by U.V Photo Spectrometer at 260nm.In house limit for dissolution of Itraconazole not less than 80% in 0.1NHCL in 60 minutes. The proposed method was validated in terms of the accuracy, repeatability, linearity. Linearity was obeyed in the range of 0.5-2.5mg of ITRACONAZOLE and repeatability (%RSD:) was satisfactory. Dissolution and assay studies of ITRACONAZOLE Pellets obtained by the proposed method were good.
