It depends on the association of an analyte with a stationary phase (column with particles) and a mobile phase (liquid eluent or a combination of eluents). Mass Spectrometry (MS) is the insightful instrument to gauge the structure of an example. The MS creates valuable data about the sub-atomic weight and the construction of analytes and helps in the explanation of obscure mixtures
