An Endoglycosidase is an protein that discharges oligosaccharides from glycoproteins or glycolipids. It may too cleave polysaccharide chains between residues that are not the terminal residue, even though discharging oligosaccharides from conjugated protein and lipid particles is more common. It breaks the glycosidic bonds between two sugar monomer within the polymer. It is distinctive from exoglycosidase that it does not do so at the terminal residue. Consequently, it is utilized to discharge long carbohydrates from conjugated particles.
