Probability theory is that the formalization and study of the mathematics of uncertain events or knowledge. The related field of mathematical statistics develops statistical theory with mathematics. Statistics, the science concerned with collecting and analyzing data, is an autonomous discipline (and not a subdiscipline of applied mathematics). There is really no answer to the current question. Some people consider it as ‘limiting frequency’. That is, to mention that the probability of getting heads when a coin is tossed means, if the coin is tossed again and again, it's likely to return down heads about half the time. But if you toss a coin 1000 times, you're not going to urge exactly 500 heads. You wouldn’t be surprised to urge only 495. But what about 450, or 100? Some people would say that you just can figure out probability by physical arguments, just like the one we used for a good coin. But this argument doesn’t add all cases, and it doesn’t explain what probability means. Some people say it's subjective. You say that the probability of heads during a coin toss is 1/2 because you've got no reason for thinking either heads or tails more lik
