Advances in Pediatric Research publishes articles in perinatology, neonatology, developmental pediatrics, medical genetics, congenital diseases, metabolic disorders that first appear in utero, infancy or childhood, general pediatric and adolescent medicine. Pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties of interest include allergy and immunology, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, infectious diseases, nephrology, neurology, pulmonology, and rheumatology. The journal will also publish articles dealing with pediatric public health and social issues such as child abuse, domestic and community violence, education, immunizations, nutrition, and public health policies that directly relate to pediatric patients.

We are pleased to bring you the first issue of 2021. Along with few original papers and case studies, for this issue we decided to acknowledge the contributions during this COVID-19 pandemic.

We would like to appreciate your interest and supports towards the Advances in Pediatric Research Journal. We understand the tough times that everyone is facing during this pandemic, but we assure you that we do our best to provide you the quality review process at a regular pace. With that in mind, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the Advances in Pediatric Research editorial team who evaluate papers, manage the publication process and respond to authors.

Thank you, too, to the editorial board members who have supported the journal since its inception and who continue to promote its growth. And to the reviewers, we appreciate the time you dedicate to ensuring papers meet our standards for scientific quality and integrity.

The Advances in Pediatric Research was founded to help junior researchers and authors from developing countries learn about the rigour involved in preparing a manuscript for publication and in getting published. We remain committed to that objective.

As well, we continue to receive more papers from leading researchers in Australia, Saudi Arabia, China, the United States and other countries, which is a testament to our commitment to quality. We look forward to continued success and growth. Consider signing up to be a reviewer or recommending reviewers to us.
