Dr. Alba Valéria Machado da Silva holds a Master's (2003) and a Ph.D. (2009) in Parasitic Biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation and a post-doctorate in Protein and Peptide Biochemistry (2014) from Fiocruz. Has experience in Parasitology, focusing on Animal Parasitic Protozoology, acting on the following subjects: Leishmania chagasi, epidemiology of leishmaniasis, Trypanosoma evansi, Trypanosoma cruzi, Toxoplasma gondii, zoonoses in domestic and wild animals and georeferencing.
