Dr. Aneta Kecler-Pietrzyk is a distinguished radiologist with extensive experience in emergency and trauma imaging. She has served as a consultant radiologist at Tallaght University Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, where she contributed significantly to the Department of Radiology. Her expertise encompasses various imaging modalities, with a particular focus on emergency radiology. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Kecler-Pietrzyk has been actively involved in medical research and education. She co-authored a study titled "Enteritis and Severe Abdominal Pain as the First Presentation of COVID-19," which was published in the Irish Medical Journal. This research highlighted the gastrointestinal manifestations of COVID-19, expanding the understanding of the disease's diverse clinical presentations. Dr. Kecler-Pietrzyk has also contributed to the field of neuroradiology. Ultrasound evaluation of the thyroid gland is relatively easy in most cases with excellent visualization of the gland with linear transducer allowing clear characterization of lesions as well as guidance for biopsy. However when retrosternal thyroid tissue extension is present, evaluation may be difficult.
