Non-Traumatic Subperiosteal Orbital Haematoma Following Yoga

Non-traumatic subperiosteal orbital haematomas are rare. A 14 year old healthy female was diagnosed after feeling a sudden “rush of blood” in her head during a headstand, followed by unilateral painful proptosis and diplopia. The haematoma did not compromise the optic nerve and resolved spontaneously within two weeks.
