Avik Roy

Biography

Avik Roy is an Assistant professor of Rush University and course director of Rush graduate college. Avik has pioneered the genetic link of abtb2 in Parkinson’s disease. His research identified abtb2 as a novel target in Lewy body diseases. He is the recipient of Rapid Response Innovation Award by MJ Fox Foundation, JE Trufant Award for excellence in research, young Investigator award by American Society for Neurochemistry and many other awards. He published more than 50 articles in journals like Cell Reports, Cell Metabolism, PNAS, Nature Chemical Biology, J Clin Invest, J Neurosci, JBC and J Immunol.
