Prof. Dr. Baoshan Chen received his PhD in Adelaide University, Australia in 1992 and completed his postdoctoral training in the Roche Institute of Molecular Biology in U.S. during the period of 1991-1994. Currently, he is working as professor of biochemistry and molecular biology in Guangxi University and serves as director of the State Key Laboratory for Conservation and Utilization of Subtropical Agro-bioresources in China. His research has included plant diseases caused by viral, bacterial and fungal agents, with emphasis on mycovirus-fungus interaction. He have authored or coauthored more than 50 peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters. He is a lifetime member of the American Society for Virology and currently vice president of the Chinese Phytopathological Society.
