Furst is Professor of Medicine at the University of California (emeritus), Los Angeles (UCLA), Medical Center, David Geffen School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington, Seattle Washington and a Research Professor at the University of Florence, Florence, Italy.
