Biography
I received my Ph.D. degree in Physiology and Pharmacology from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. I was interested in studying the intracellular renin-angiotensin system (RAS) in the kidney in terms of expression, localization, synthesis, regulation and function of the components of this endocrine system. My thesis studies utilized the NRK-52E cell line, an established proximal tubule epithelial cell model to elucidate the functional relevance of this system.
