Biography

Dr. Isabel S. Carvalho's current interest is the study of the biochemical and pharmacological characterization of natural compounds from plant/fruit origin, and the promotion and valorization of these compounds in the medical and agrochemical areas. I am particularly interested in biosynthetic pathways of secondary metabolites and the discovery of new bioactive natural products.
