James S. Wrobel

Biography

Dr. Wrobel is a podiatrist, researcher, and educator. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Diabetes at the University of Michigan Health System. His clinical interests include preventing diabetes-related foot complications, lower extremity biomechanics, and foot surgery. 

He has clinical research experience in wound care, medical devices, foot orthoses, footwear, and surgery. His research training and experience also includes health services research approaches using large health care administrative data bases to analyze the quality and variation of diabetes related foot care. He also collaborates on the use of mobile medical applications and their interface with electronic medical record. 

Dr. Wrobel is an educator that has taught at the undergraduate, graduate, podiatric medical school, medical school, and professional continuing education levels.
