Jeffrey E. Dick
Department of Chemistry, Ball State University, Muncie, IN 47306, USA
effrey E. Dick was born in Muncie, IN. Growing up, Jeffrey was fascinated with the cosmos, a passion fueled by his late grandfather, Malcolm Dick, and nurtured by his late father. Because of his grandfather’s influence, Jeffrey was catapulted into the wonderful world of scientific inquiry with a taste for discovering new truths about nature. These fascinations led him to pursue a B.S. in Chemistry from Ball State University. Soon into his undergraduate studies, Jeffrey became interested in a powerful particle called the electron and a curious subject called electrochemistry. At Ball State, Jeffrey studied synthetic electrochemistry using electron transport mediators. Due to his passion for science, the electron, and electrochemistry, Jeffrey joined the Bard Lab at the University of Texas at Austin in July 2013. Jeffrey is currently a Fellow of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program. In his spare time, Jeffrey enjoys traveling, biking, reading, and writing.
