Imaging mass spectrometry (IMS) is an emerging technology, pioneered by Prof. Richard Caprioli’s group starting more than a decade ago. In this study we have demonstrated the simplicity of initial technological set up for IMS experiments with commercially available automated matrix deposition, MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry instrumentation and data handling software for image generation.
