    Tendinopathy is a common, painful, overuse disorder associated with a failure of the tendon repair process and has a low potential for healing with the usual techniques. Although many different treatment methods have been described, there is no consensus regarding the optimal treatment for this condition. Therefore, new treatments for tendinopathies drawn from the existing literature as well as from their own experience dealing with this condition to deal with this delicate pathology have been developed over last few decades. Although some treatments like eccentric training, the EPI® technique, extra-corporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT), hyaluronic acid (HA), platelet-rich plasma (PRP) are being established as the main therapeutic models, there are still questions to be answered as well as the need for a clear treatment protocol to be established.
