  Nurodegenerative diseases (NDD) such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD) are the third most common cause of mortality after cardiovascular and oncological diseases. In PD, most of the dopaminergic neurons die in a special section of the brain called the nigrostriatal system. People have impaired motor function: there is trembling, stiffness of movements. In AD, cholinergic neurons die in the hippocampus and in the cortex, which are responsible for memory and learning. These functions are also affected in humans. .. View More»
