Luis Alexandre Muehlmann, MSc, PhD, is an associate professor of biochemistry at the University of Brasilia. Muehlmann has a BSc in pharmacy and MSc in molecular biology from Federal University of Parana, Brazil. Later he obtained his PhD in nanobiotechnology from the University of Brasilia, Brazil. His research interests lie in the area of nanostructured delivery systems for antineoplastic agents. In recent years, he has been focusing on the development of new drug nanocarriers, mainly directed for anticancer photodynamic and photothermal therapies. Dr. Alexandre has over 12 peer reviewed publications.
