    Post dural puncture is one of the most common causes of postpartum headache. Other causes are benign primary headache disorders (migraine, tension-type headache) and secondary headache disorders such as stroke, ischaemia or pituitary apoplexy and venous sinus thrombosis. Headache in the new mother after delivery, mandates a differential diagnosis because it is not appropriate to focus only on the most common diseases, such as post dural puncture headache.
