Headache is a major presenting symptom of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) along with nausea/vomiting, photophobia, meningeal signs and even loss of consciousness and seizures. In this paper we discuss the standard evaluation of SAH, including how to distinguish true SAH from traumatic lumbar puncture (LP).
