  Life Satisfaction, Personal Growth Initiative and the Role of Hope in Alcoholics and in People Who are Occasional Drinkers

  The study was conducted to find out the Life Satisfaction, Personal Growth Initiative and the role of Hope in Alcoholics and in people who are Occasional Drinkers. The sample chosen for this study was, 100 adults aged 20-50 years (50 for each group), both males and females with minimum five years of formal schooling. The tools of assessment used were Satisfaction with Life Scale, The Personal Growth Initiative Scale and the Adult Trait Hope Scale. It was found that occasional drinkers scored significantly higher on the variables of Life Satisfaction, Hope and Personal Growth Initiative. The results are discussed in terms of role of positive factors in alcoholism as compared to occasional drinkers. .. View More»
