    Background: Many previous publications reported role of vitamin D insufficiency in pathogenesis of many disorders including psychiatric diseases such as autism and its mimic conditions. Few numbers of publications have studied role of vitamin D in development of autism in childhood. Aim: The aim this work was to study the status of vitamin D in autistic children by evaluation of serum levels of 25-hydroxy vitamin D (25 (OH) vitamin D) in Autistic pediatric patients and to study the beneficial role of vitamin D therapy as adjuvant therapy for this disease.
