    Successful Treatment of Painless Type A Aortic Dissection without any Major Concomitant Symptoms

    Painless aortic dissection is a relatively rare pathology. We report the case of painless type A aortic dissection without any concomitant symptoms such as congestive heart failure, cardiac ischemia, stroke, or paraplegia. The patient underwent total arch replacement with selective cerebral perfusion under deep hypothermic .circulatory arrest The postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged with no complications.
