Ivan Santamaria Holek is working in the UMDI-Faculty of Sciences, National Autonomous University of Mexico Campus Juriquilla, 76230, Querétaro, Mexico. He is interested in applying irreversible thermodynamics to small systems (RNA dynamics under extension, transient pores in vesicles), and population dynamics. He is also interested in the fundamental aspects of the light-matter interaction and its coupling with electrochemical systems related to producing, handling, and storing energy, such as solar and fuel cells. The approach followed is to propose transport models using thermodynamics' general laws and apply them to specific problems.
