Dr. Savarimuthu Ignacimuthu, S.J. (b.1948), holds a Ph.D. and DSC. He taught at St. Joseph’s College, Tiruchirapalli. Savarimuthu was principal of St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai, and Loyola College, Chennai. Savarimuthu was vice-chancellor of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, and the University of Madras, Chennai. Presently Savarimuthu is the director of Entomology Research Institute, Loyola College, Chennai.
