Sherrow O. Pinder

Biography

Sherrow O. Pinder, Professor of Political Science, works primarily in the areas of race, gender, and ethnic politics in the United States, social welfare policy, black political thought, globalization studies, and whiteness studies. She is the author of several books. Her latest book is Black, Women, Work and Welfare in the Age of Globalization, Lexington Books, 2018. Also, Professor Pinder is the editor of the forthcoming book, Black Political Thought: David Walker to Present, Cambridge University Press; and American Multicultural Studies: Diversity of Race, Ethnicity, Gender and Sexuality, Sage 2012.
