Antioxidant Effects of Regular Yoga Training on the Healthy University Students Controlled Clinical Trial

Background: To assess the properties of regular yoga training on oxidative stress and antioxidant components, including total glutathione (GSH) and its redox systems (GSH-peroxidase and reductase), total antioxidant capacity (TAC), and activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase in healthy university students. Study design and methods: Current study involved total 25 of healthy participants who were divided into two groups as control and regularly yoga group. All subjects undertook the regularly control or yoga program for 90 minutes, once every week, for 12 weeks under the care of yoga and health professional instructor.
