    Exploring the Health Benefits of Psylium: From Digestive to Drug Delivery

    A significant medicinal plant grown in India, Pakistan, and Iran is psylium. The psylium seed's husk, which is abundant in arabinoxylans, is used to treat some digestive problems. Additionally, it is added to meals to enhance their fiber content, appearance, mechanical properties, and sensory qualities. Psylium used in large doses can cause bloating and gas. In rare instances, prolonged exposure to psylium husk in sensitive people might result in skin irritation and respiratory allergies. Additionally, psylium has been said to have wound-healing, cholesterol-lowering bladder problems, high blood pressure, hemorrhoids, constipation as well as diarrhea and for treatment of skin irritations.
