The Risk of Hookah Using during COVID-19

The rapid spread of the new Coronavirus, which causes the disease “COVID-19”, in various parts of the world has
caught the attention of the people of the world and research has been a spotlight on it, especially after the World
Health Organization classified it as a global pandemic. Research indicates that smokers, especially hookah smoking,
which has become a widespread habit throughout the world, are more susceptible to severe complications from
COVID-19 and death. The aim of this paper is to review some of the research that mentioned hookah during the
COVID-19 period.
We find that hookah smoking is a clear and influential risk factor in the spread and exacerbation of the disease. The
articles showed that the level of awareness and knowledge were influential in continuing or stopping the use of
