Biography

Md. Arifuzzaman works as Assistant Professor, Department of Architecture, Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology, Gazipur. His Field of Specializations are Architectural Design, Urban Management, Environmental Design, Climate Change and Adaptive Planning. Md. Arifuzzaman received his Master of Science (M.Sc) from Technical University Berlin, Germany in 2020.

    Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) has spread globally since its discovery in Hubei province, China in December 2019. It has already been announced as a pandemic disease by world health organization (WHO). This disease is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), which is an enveloped RNA virus and highly contagious. This is a new coronavirus, still changing, and put the scientific authority in a puzzle. The fatality rate of COVID-19 is higher compared to other coronavirus diseases such as severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS). The outbreak of COVID-19 has created a severe threat to public health across the world.
