    Social Factors as Predictors of Postpartum Depression among Nursing Mothers in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, Nigeria

    Background: Postpartum Depression (PPD) is a global phenomenon that impacts nursing mothers and their children. However, there is limited research on PPD among nursing mothers in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo state, Nigeria. Therefore, this study sought to, determine the prevalence of PPD, examine knowledge of PPD, determine the influence of social factors on PPD among nursing mothers in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo state, Nigeria. Materials and Methods: The descriptive cross-sectional and multiple linear regression research design were used in this study. The sample size for the study was 402 and data were collected using a self-developed structured and standardized questionnaire.
