Infant and Young Child Feeding Practices and Associated Factors Among Mothers of Children Aged 0-23 Months in Kalu District, North-East Ethiopia: Community Based Cross-Sectional Study

Background: Infant and young child feeding (IYCF) is a cornerstone of care for ensuring optimal child growth and development during the first 2 years of life. Scientific evidence indicates that various poor IYCF practices have been shown to have numerous negative effects on children’s health. Therefore, Improving IYCF practice is critical to improved nutrition, health, and development of these age group children. This study aims to assess IYCF practices and associated factors among mothers of children aged 0-23 months in Kalu district, Northeast Ethiopia. Methods: A community based cross-sectional study was conducted from 15 to 05/2019-15/06/2019.
