Transference Component of Resistance (TCR) in Davanloo's Intensive Short- Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (DISTDP)

The present paper scrutinized the concept of transference component of resistance (TCR) in Davanloo's intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy (DISTDP). This concept is one of the important Davanloo's discoveries, and paying attention to this concept can lead to mobilization of the unconscious and the complete removal of the patient's resistance. At first, the components constituting this concept were investigated, and then, the techniques which can be used to increase TCR were discussed. These techniques play a fundamental role in the rising unconscious therapeutic alliance (UTA).
