  Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy (TC) has been increasingly recognized since first described in Japan 20 years ago by Dr. Sato and co-workers in 1991. The prevalence is 1.7%-2.2% among suspected Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) patients and overall incidence is likely to be underestimated.
