Biography

Dr. Efrem Fenta is a professor in the Department of Anesthesia and Internal Health, Stanford University, California, USA. 
His study interests major on anesthesia, Pain Management, Health analysis. In recent years, he has studied several studies including Advances in Anesthesia, Pain Management. Currently, Dr. Efrem Fenta is the author/editor/reviewer in several international journals.  He published 21 articles in many journals and the articles are informative and got good citations.

  Background: Propofol is a widely used drug for the induction of anesthesia and often causes severe, sharp, stinging, or burning pain on the injection that can be distressing to the patient. Premedication with opioids, lidocaine, slow injection, and using a large vein for injection has been tried to combat the problem though there is controversy.
