The form in which drugs are prepared is considered as an important determinant of its bioavailability. In pharmaceutical formulations, excipients offer add-on characteristic properties as integrity, stability, solubility, and patient compliance to those intrinsic properties exhibited by the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).
