Biography

Dr. Enat Stiojanovic Professor, Department of Global Health Western University, Ontario, Canada Dr. Enat Stiojanovic is a renowned global health expert and professor at Western University in Ontario, Canada. With a career spanning two decades, Dr. Stiojanovic is recognized for her innovative approaches to addressing global health disparities, infectious disease prevention, and health systems strengthening in low- and middle-income countries. Education and Early Career Dr. Stiojanovic earned her B.Sc. in Public Health from the University of Toronto and went on to complete her M.P.H. and Ph.D. in Global Health from Harvard University. Her doctoral research focused on the socio-economic determinants of infectious disease outbreaks, emphasizing the importance of equitable access to healthcare in mitigating global health crises. After completing her Ph.D., Dr. Stiojanovic worked with the World Health Organization (WHO) as a technical advisor, where she contributed to the development of global strategies for tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS prevention. Research and Contributions Dr. Stiojanovic’s research focuses on the intersections of health policy, infectious disease epidemiology, and social determinants of health. She has led numerous projects aimed at improving healthcare access and quality in underprivileged regions, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.
