Drivers: Industry 4.0 Identify the Views

The purpose of this paper is to review the literature and to identify the views and perceptions of SME managers in
Romania on the factors and barriers to the implementation of Industry 4.0 technology for business development.
Given the extent of the implementation of Industry 4.0 and a number of important socio-demographic criteria (such
as: Enterprise size, sector of activity, economic development context of the country) that affect the efforts of
managers, this study aims to fill the lack of information and decisions on the level of preparation of Romanian SMEs
for the implementation of the new technology. Following the analysis of the specialized literature, the empirical
research was carried out between October 15 and December 15, 2018 among several Romanian companies that carry
