  Brain Metabolic Disturbances in Autism Spectrum Disorder: A systematic Review

  Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a common neurodevelopmental condition marked by a lack of social contact and a pattern of restricted and repetitive behaviours (RRBs). Neuroimaging studies have revealed a lot about the underlying neurobiological mechanisms of ASD in the last decade. ASD and epilepsy are two neurodevelopmental conditions with a high incidence of comorbidity, implying that they share a similar neurodevelopmental process.
