Dr. Jaong Bunjio Professor, Department of Pharmacy Chongqing University, Chongqing, China Dr. Jaong Bunjio is a distinguished professor and researcher at Chongqing University's Department of Pharmacy. He is widely recognized for his contributions to pharmaceutical sciences, particularly in the areas of drug formulation, targeted drug delivery, and pharmacokinetics. Dr. Bunjio completed his B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Sichuan University and earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Tokyo. His doctoral research focused on the development of nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems, which has paved the way for more effective and precise therapeutic solutions in treating complex diseases. Since joining Chongqing University in 2012, Dr. Bunjio has led groundbreaking research in the development of novel drug delivery systems, particularly in the use of nanotechnology and biodegradable materials. His work aims to improve drug efficacy, reduce side effects, and enhance patient outcomes. He is also known for his research on controlled-release formulations and personalized medicine approaches. Dr. Bunjio has published over 120 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals, including Pharmaceutical Research, Journal of Controlled Release, and Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews. He has also contributed to key textbooks in pharmaceutical sciences, such as Innovations in Drug Delivery Systems: From Concepts to Clinical Applications. His work has earned him numerous accolades, including the National Award for Excellence in Pharmaceutical Research and recognition from the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association. A passionate educator, Dr. Bunjio teaches courses on advanced pharmaceutics, drug delivery systems, and regulatory science. He is committed to mentoring the next generation of pharmaceutical scientists, having supervised numerous graduate and doctoral students who now contribute to the field globally. Dr. Bunjio actively collaborates with industry and academia, working on projects aimed at addressing global health challenges through pharmaceutical innovation. He is a member of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association (CPA) and an active participant in international pharmaceutical conferences and forums. Outside his professional life, Dr. Bunjio is an advocate for health education and frequently engages in community outreach programs to raise awareness about the importance of medication adherence and healthcare access. In his free time, he enjoys exploring traditional Chinese medicine practices, hiking in Chongqing’s scenic mountains, and practicing martial arts.
