Biography

Dr. Julien Shah is an esteemed professor and researcher at the Department of Chromatography, University of Amsterdam. Renowned for his expertise in separation science, Dr. Shah has dedicated his career to advancing the understanding and application of chromatographic techniques in diverse fields, including pharmaceuticals, environmental science, and food analysis. Dr. Shah earned his B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh and subsequently completed his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at Imperial College London. His doctoral research focused on developing novel stationary phases for high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), laying the foundation for his lifelong contributions to the field of chromatography. Joining the University of Amsterdam in 2010, Dr. Shah quickly became a leader in chromatographic innovation. His research primarily focuses on the development of advanced separation methodologies, such as multidimensional chromatography and the integration of machine learning in optimizing chromatographic processes.
