    Gonioscopy Assisted Transluminal Trabeculotomy in the Management of Posner-Schlossman Syndrome

    Purpose: To assess the efficacy and safety of Gonioscopy Assisted Transluminal Trabeculotomy (GATT) in the treatment of glaucomatocyclitic crisis (Posner-Schlossman syndrome). Materials and methods: We retrospectively reviewed six patients diagnosed with glaucomatocyclitic crisis and uncontrolled Intraocular Pressure (IOP) who underwent Gonioscopy Assisted Transluminal Trabeculotomy (GATT). ALL the patients were followed-up for 12 months after the surgery. Clinical outcome measurements included visual acuity, intraocular pressure, complications and relapses. Results: Mean IOP before GATT was 31.17 mmHg ± 7.08 mmHg (range 23 mmHg-41 mmHg). The mean number of anti-glaucoma medication prior to surgery was 2.50 ± 0.55.
