Impact of Levocetirizine on Quality of Life and Daily Activities in Patients with Chronic Urticaria

Background: Urticaria negatively impacted patients’ quality of life, day to day activities and productivity at work place. The present study evaluated effectiveness of Levocetirizine on symptom control, quality of life and work productivity in patients with urticaria.
Methodology: The study was a prospective, open-labelled, single-arm, observational study among patients with chronic urticaria. It was initiated after necessary approval from the Institutional Ethics committee. Levocetirizine was prescribed as 5 mg or 10 mg once a day evening oral dose for consecutive 7 days at bed time.
