Bisimwa is Currently PhD Student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya and has doneMaster in One Health Molecular Biology, 2015, Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), Morogoro, Tanzania.his research interest is mainly in the fields of Molecular Virology, Molecular Genetics and Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases. he is currently studying the epidemiology and molecular biological characteristics of emerging and re-emerging arboviruses of food security importance particularly African swine fever virus, focusing on development of diagnostic tools, vaccines based on DNA recombinant technology as well as control strategies to improve productivity and increase income generation for smallholder farmers.
