  Laccase benzenediol oxygen oxidoreductases are multicopper enzymes belonging to the group of blue oxidases. They catalyses the monoelectronic oxidation of substrates at the expense of molecular oxygen. intrestess in these essentially eco-friendly enzymes they work with air and produce water as the only by product has grown significantly in recent years, Carbon sources used are glucose, fructose, galactose, galacturonic acid, xylose, lactose, sucrose ,pectin and insulin for the production of laccase.
