Dr. Qing Wang is a distinguished professor in the Department of Analytical Chemistry at Tsinghua University. Renowned for her groundbreaking work in analytical science, Dr. Wang specializes in advanced detection methods, particularly mass spectrometry, electrochemical sensors, and chromatographic techniques. Her research has significantly impacted fields such as environmental science, biomedicine, and nanotechnology. Dr. Wang earned her B.Sc. in Chemistry from Nankai University and completed her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Tokyo, Japan. Her doctoral research focused on developing novel analytical techniques for detecting trace-level pollutants in complex environmental matrices. She further expanded her expertise during postdoctoral studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she worked on coupling analytical techniques with nanotechnology for biomedical applications. Since joining Tsinghua University in 2010, Dr. Wang has established herself as a leader in analytical chemistry. Her research focuses on developing high-sensitivity sensors, portable analytical devices, and green analytical methods. She has pioneered the use of integrated analytical systems to monitor air and water quality, enabling real-time, accurate environmental assessments. Dr. Wang has authored over 150 peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals, including Analytical Chemistry, Nature Communications, and Environmental Science & Technology. She is also the editor of the textbook Advanced Analytical Methods for Emerging Applications, widely used in universities and research institutions. Her contributions to the field have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) Analytical Chemistry Award and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Distinguished Researcher Award.
