Dr. Qurat-ul-Ain completed her Ph. D. in Molecular Medicine from Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research, International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi, Pakistan in collaboration with the Department of Dermatology and Allergy, Ulm University, Germany. Her Ph.D. research focuses on the investigation of deregulated cancer-causing kinases and their corresponding genes with the aim of discovering and developing novel anticancer therapeutics.

Anatomical Study of Four Wild Plant Species Growing Along Contaminated Water Channel in Khokhar Town, Bund Road, Lahore, Pakistan

The present study described the effect of waste water used for irrigation purpose on the anatomical characters of plants. This waste water comprises of municipal, industrial and dairy waste containing organic matter, Ca++, Mg++, Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium. Anatomy of four wild plants i.e. Trianthema portulacastrum L., Amaranthes viridis L., Portulaca oleracea L. and Persicaria barbata L. was studied.
