Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Periodontal Disease: A Systematic Review

Innumerable studies have demonstrated the advantage of non-surgical periodontal therapy in not only improving periodontal health but also in improving the glycemic control levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. This study had demonstrated the additive benefits of non-surgical periodontal therapy combined with adjuvant laser therapy on reducing the levels of serum pro-inflammatory cytokines in patients with coronary heart disease.
